Sanziana
Teaches: chemistry, medicinal chemistry
Sanziana is an Imperial College London final-year first-class chemist and tutor with over 6 years of experience. Over the last six years, she has taught Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math to over 20 students. Her most famous achievement as a teacher was guiding a student from all C’s to all A’s in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in just one month.
Tutoring Experience
Apart from usual textbooks, Sanziana uses additional materials (3D models, interactive pictures) in order to make students comprehend certain notions better. She always tailors her teaching methods to fit her students’ needs and to be suitable for reaching their goals. When preparing for the lesson, Sanziana combines theory teaching with problem solving, problem based learning, she sets the right amount of homework and tests to ensure the student develops the skills needed in particular areas of the material.
Sanziana’s area of expertise is Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. A few of the courses she’s passionate about are: Electronic Properties of Solids, Quantum Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Renewable Energy, Python for Data Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry. Sanziana contributed to the development of a nanopore sensor for the detection of osteopontin as biomarker for cholangiocarcinoma and she performed DNA translocation experiments through nanopores under a positive bias.
